The Motown Project on Motown50.co.uk
Welcome to Motown50.co.uk. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Motown we have launched The Motown Project on this site and hope that you’ll join us in creating the definitive history of Motown in the UK.
The Motown Project is a collection of editable pages on all-things Motown from singles, EPs and albums to artists and events.
We know that there’s a huge deal of passion for Motown in the UK, and that people here have a wealth of knowledge about the label what we wanted was to give everyone the chance to bring all this information together in one place.
We’ve started everything off by creating several thousand pages covering UK releases, but we’d like to invite you to add any information you have to these pages. This doesn’t need to be limited to releases or artists for instance, if you were at a concert, we’d love you to create a page to share your memories and photos of the event.
In time, these pages will become the definitive resource for Motown information, which will constantly evolve and improve, as more people get involved. We’re really excited about what this site can become with your help we can really tell the history of Motown in the UK, and help share the passion we all feel for the label.
We’ve tried to make editing and adding to the pages as simple as possible: if you’ve used Wikipedia the process should be familiar to you. Otherwise, please see below for a guide to adding to the website.
